Stacey works in Vision’s Customer Services. There’s a good chance you’ve spoken to Stacey if you’ve called Vision. She gets to hear beautiful stories from supporters who tell her about the impact Vision’s ministry has had on their life.
Stacey wanted to share a little piece of her story about something of great significance to her as a young girl growing up in New Zealand. One of her colleagues gifted her a replica topdressing plane like the one her father flew.
‘What’s so special about it is that my father passed away when I was just a young girl. And so it holds very deep memories for me,’ said Stacey.
There’s something special about sharing stories. It unites us by helping us see life through someone else’s eyes. While some people would like to share their faith, they may lack confidence or feel awkward, which is understandable. By sharing their story, that alone is a step of faith that we are very grateful for at Vision because it creates a chain reaction that inspires others to share their story of how Vision’s ministry is impacting them.
Stacey shares one such story from Kerry who lives in Yeppoon, Queensland. Yeppon is known for its gorgeous beaches and tropical climate.
‘When Kerry wrote to us, she simply expressed what so many other Christians express too—that they struggle to share their faith personally, face to face with others,’ said Stacey. ‘It’s the great commission and we’re all called to do it, but it can be scary and intimidating.’
However, while Kerry’s growing in her faith and learning to become equipped to share her faith when opportunities arise, she’s really grateful that Vision is doing what she can’t do or what she’s still learning to do.
Vision has the capacity to reach people all over Australia in a non-confrontational and non-threatening way. The only people who listen to Vision are those who choose to, and one thing is certain … you don’t have to listen very long to know who Jesus is and what He’s done for us.
So while we’re all called to share the Gospel, Vision is not only helping Christians learn to do that, Vision’s programs are available 24/7 so that no one misses out on hearing God’s Word. Kerry said she’s really excited to be a supporter of Vision because she wants to be part of God’s plan for her life.
Together with Vision, you can shine your light for God and help more people across Australia look to God daily.
